Pregnancy Signs On Life's Highway
Are you wondering if you are pregnant? Maybe you are planning on having a baby. It can be a wonderful time in your life and it can also be a challenging one as you will experience new feelings. As a woman that has survived four pregnancies, I believe I am qualified to pass these pregnancy signs on to you.
If you have been there before, it will be easier to recognize these symptoms. However, this may well be your first time. And in that case, you are in for some amazing bodily changes. Some women claim it is a magical experience, while most women might try to find ways to deal with the inconveniences.
Pregnancy Signs 1 - Nausea
This may come in many forms and it is one of the most common symptoms. It may come on suddenly. As often mentioned, morning sickness doesn’t just last through the morning; it may last well into the evening.
During the first few months of my pregnancy, I had morning sickness at all hours of the day and night. This went on for several months. Sometimes, I got really sick to my stomach and vomited. What I did was to keep a separate trash receptacle in the bathroom during those times and everyone knew to leave it alone.
You could be feeling fine for one moment. Suddenly the smell of food may trigger nausea the next moment while you are cooking. It may be an upset stomach and might even accompany with vomiting.
I remember my first time. I was quite fond of sausage and scrambled eggs. As I fixed them, the aroma hit my nose. The next thing I knew, I was running to the bathroom. I was not sure what was going on, but I knew I was feeling something quite different.
Some women are lucky as the nausea may only last for a few months. However, do not be surprised if it lasts longer. There is no set amount of time for it to torment you. During my four pregnancies, I experienced this for at least four or five months, each time. It was something that I managed to get through. Saltine crackers helped me with the nausea, sometimes.
You might feel no nausea at all. If this happens, you are not lucky. You are blessed.
Pregnancy Signs 2 - Periods
You may miss your period. But, you might have something that you believe to be a period. This can sometimes happen. It depends very much on the person and it is still a good idea to take a home pregnancy test. Some pregnant women have what appears to be a period, for a few months. This happened to me at least twice, during two of my pregnancies.
Pregnancy Signs 3 -Urination
Frequent urination is often a symptom in pregnancy. This is something that may worsen in time. As the baby grows, it can putpressure on your bladder. For the next nine months, you may wish to stay in close proximity to a bathroom. This will help if you have vomiting with the nausea as it may occur at any time.
Pregnancy Signs 4 - Soreness
The breast can be very tender. They may be sore and very sensitive to the touch because your breasts are going through some amazing changes. When it is over, they could be considerably larger. In some cases, this can be beneficial to some women. I know several women that benefited from this.
Pregnancy Signs 5 - Libido
Some women may claim increased sex drive. This may be more of an emotional factor than physical. There is no fear of pregnancy associated with sex. This can lead to a more carefree attitude. If this happens, enjoy the freedom.
Pregnancy Signs 6 - Emotional
It is perfectly normal to be afraid. This is true for first timers as your life will be changed forever. It can be a daunting task. You may think about complications, also. When you become pregnant, you are putting yourself at risk. However, you are also bringing another life into the world.
I could remember all types of fears running through my head during my first pregnancy. Will the baby be OK? Will it turn out like one of my brothers? I have six siblings still living. One died at the age of fifteen. His entire life was hard, due to several birth defects. It can happen but you cannot burden yourself with it, at this point.
All of my fears turned out to be unfounded. I have four perfectly formed and adjusted, adult children, today. If the unthinkable happens, you simply deal with it at that time. Too much anxiety is not going to do any good for your developing baby. Do yourself and your baby a large favor. Stay positive and there's nothing sweeter than welcoming a new baby into the family. The odds are in your favor, that everything will be fine.
This can be the best time of your life and it may well be the most demanding. The most common early signs of pregnancy are nausea and missed periods. However, you may not have either, at first. Be aware of sore breasts and frequent urination, also.
You will be going through major physical and biological changes. At times, you may have regrets and the best thing to do is to try to loosen up. Learn from the experience. Before long, you will look down at the new life you’ve created and you will know that it is worth everything!
