Reasons and Solutions to Unexplained Infertility
Unexplained infertility can be disheartening and cause undue stress on a couple. We want to know what is wrong, why we are not normal and what can be done. Before blame sets in, follow a course of action to better understand the reasons associated with unexplained infertility to get on the right track in having a family.
Reasons For Unexplained Infertility
There are several reasons why unexplained infertility happens. Before you panic though, the condition of unexplained infertility is not considered legitimate until after one year of trying to conceive. Understanding that we are an impatient society and that we want everything on demand, your body has to prepare itself for a condition that you have been trying so hard to prevent.
Age plays a very important role in having unexplained infertility. When females are born, they have over a million healthy eggs but by puberty, this number has decreased to 300,000. The ideal age for conception is during your 20s and early 30s and even then, only 300 healthy eggs are still onboard. As you reach your late 30s and into the 40s, the eggs continue to decrease but more than this, the quality also diminishes. Waiting until you feel you are mature enough to raise a family is not always a good choice because unexplained infertility becomes a reality.
Women that have had a history of specific diseases such as uterine fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease or endometriosis often find themselves with blocked fallopian tubes due to scarring left from infections or surgery. Sometimes these tubes can be reopened to prepare the path for the eggs to travel.
A person's lifestyle is often a direct cause to unexplained infertility. Smoking, drinking, poor eating and sleeping habits in both females and males can throw your system off more than you realize. Eating disorders causing thinness or on the other end of the scale, weighing too much for your frame, can devastate your system and have an unhealthy affect on your hormones, leading to unexplained infertility.
Men are not immune to having unexplained infertility. STDs are a common cause of little or no sperm count. Drugs and alcohol also temporarily decrease the quality of the sperm. Diabetes and even past exposure to environmental toxins can lead to an unexplained infertility problem.
Keep Your Stress Level Down
If you have given yourself a year, have made it a habit to eat healthy and have no diverse medical conditions that could be causing unexplained infertility, check the stress factor. Although it sounds silly, stress causes more problems than one realizes.
The body goes into a full mode of protection when something stresses you out to protect you from harm that you, yourself are causing. That's why you hear time after time of a couple adopting because of unexplained infertility only to get pregnant the minute they stop thinking about it.
Let time take its course and delve into other areas of your life that need tended to. You may be pleasantly surprised at a later date, planned or not planned for because you think you have unexplained infertility.
