1.  Eat A Good Breakfast
Skipping breakfast will contribute to eating in excess later in the day and could make you have light handedness around mid morning. In addition, after you sleep a full night without eating, your baby requires the calories early in the day.

2.  Plan Your Meals
Organize your meals each morning and this way you can get the right nutrients throughout the day. Take healthful snacks like fruits, vegies, and whole-grain crackers to work. Without having to plan, you have made available treats that entice you through the day.

3.  Choose Foods Both Low in Fat and Sugar, and High in Fiber
Fruits packaged in cans, for instance, are usually preserved in syrup. Read labels for sugar and fat content. If you happen to eat something high in sugar content, also try to eat something nutritious such as a glass of milk. This may help prevent a spike in blood sugar that often stimulates storage of fat to happen. Additionally, it is very common to feel hungry just twenty minutes after eating a sugary food because sugar arouses the body to create insulin. Eating fiber helps make you feel more satisfied and aids in removal of excess fat.

4.  Bake, Broil, or Steam Your Foods
Even when you go out to a restaurant, ask about the preparation of your food. Most restaurants will accommodate your specific dietary needs.

5.  Drink a Minimum of Eight Glasses of Water Daily
Dehydration is regularly misunderstood as hunger. If you are eating all of your nutrients and are still craving food, you might need to have some more tasty water.

6.  Avoid People Who Encourage You to Overeat!
People love to encourage pregnant women to eat more than they should. It is human nature. Do not eat to satisfy anyone. You can still be polite. Just say, thanks, but not right now.

7.  Savor Every Bite and Eat Mindfully!
Studies reveal that when a person eats with other people, there is a natural tendency to eat almost 750 calories more than when eating alone. Researchers attribute this to eating without thinking about what you are eating. Try this eating meditation: Take a bite of food and chew 50 times before swallowing. Think about the taste of the food and then think about how full you feel from just one bite. The more slowly you eat, the less food you will tend to consume and you will enjoy your food more.
